North Bellingham Golf Course

I've been making a special trip to play here once a year and I love this course. One of the top 5 in western Washington for me. I always seem to score well here, maybe because it's wide open and there's no trees so you can spray it anywhere off the tee and still have a shot at the pin. It's fun to play.

Some of the best kept fairways I have ever seen! Really fun layout, the pro shop staff is friendly and helpful. Seriously, one of the nicest courses around. May be rough going on a windy day, as there are very little trees to cut down the wind, but add this one to your bucket list if you are in the area.

Horribly ran golf course with the slowest play I have ever experienced outside of a tournament. I golfed on 6-20-26. There was no tournament they didn’t have any carts available for us 30 minutes before our tee time. Our 4 some got called on deck 15 minutes before our tee time. 5 minutes later we went to get our carts and they still did not have 2 available. 3 minutes before our scheduled tee time we get a second cart and start to play. By hole 3 there was 4 groups stacked up at the tee box. We waited to tee off on every hole for the rest of the day except hole 10 because enough people had got sick of it by the turn. I drove a hour to play this course and the greens were great but the course management was horrible. It took well over 3 hours to golf the front 9 and pace picked up on the back 9 but still took well over 2 hours on the back. I wouldn’t golf here again unless I planned on wasting the hole day waiting at a tee box 18 times in a row.

I played a round with my friends for the first time at North Bellingham Golf Course. From the entrance, the wide-open view of the course was really impressive. The clubhouse is a good size and the facilities inside were clean and comfortable. What I liked the most was the driving range — it’s great that you can practice on real grass. However, it seemed that they don’t rotate the hitting areas very often, so there weren’t many good grassy spots left. Overall, the course difficulty was fair and enjoyable. I played from the white tees, and the tee boxes were in great condition and well maintained. The fairways were clean and fairly wide. The course layout had a nice mix — from straight holes to left and right doglegs, with some elevation changes that kept it interesting throughout the round. The greens were in excellent condition, although many of them had tricky breaks that required a lot of focus when putting — it definitely kept the game exciting until the end. Overall, I was very satisfied with the round. The green fee was reasonable, and I’d definitely like to come back again!

Beautifully laid out golf course. Tees and fairways were great but the greens were nightmare fuel. Not sure what happened here when many other courses in the Bellingham and Vancouver BC areas have managed to recover so well already and they don’t charge as much for the green fees either. Hoping to play again later in the year if the greens have improved.
